Booking a Spin Fresh clean is straightforward but we know you might be wondering what actually happens on the day. Here is exactly what to expect from start to finish.
A proper deep clean takes time, but we do not need to stay for the full length of the descale cycle to do it properly. Our 8 phase process covers every part of your machine including the door seal, the drain pump filter, the detergent drawer and recess and a full exterior clean, all completed while we are with you. Once you have seen and approved the work, we start the professional descale cycle and that is where our visit ends. The machine carries on and finishes the cycle by itself after we have gone.
Before the descale cycle begins we show you exactly what has been done, the seal, the filter and the drawer, before and after. Once you are happy, we add the professional cleaner and descaler, start the correct cycle for your machine and that is where our visit ends. The cycle continues to run after we have gone and finishes on its own, there is no need to open the machine early or wait around for it.
Please note: some light staining in the door seal may remain even after a thorough clean. If mould has been present for a long time it can permanently discolour the rubber itself. When this happens the active mould is gone and the seal is completely clean and safe, but a faint grey or black mark can stay in the rubber. This is not a sign the clean has been incomplete, it is simply the rubber underneath, and no amount of further cleaning can remove it.
Before we start we put down a rubber collection tray under the filter access panel to minimise any water spillage when we remove the drain pump filter. We also carry a handheld wet vac and a handheld steam cleaner on every visit, along with plenty of towels, so if anything does come out it is dealt with immediately. We treat your home with the same care we would our own.
We are happy to walk you through every phase as we go. Nothing is hidden, nothing is done without you knowing about it. We are friendly, we are chatty and we genuinely enjoy what we do — so if you want to ask questions, have a natter or just get on with your day that is completely fine either way. We will work around you.
We photograph every key area before and after the clean and send them to you after the visit. You will be able to see exactly what condition everything was in when we arrived and exactly what it looks like when we leave.
At the end of every visit we complete a full written service report card covering the make and model of your machine, every phase completed, the condition of your seal, filter and limescale level marked good, fair or poor, and your next recommended clean date. It is yours to keep.
