Questions we actually get asked

Everything you want to know before booking.

For a family home — especially with young children — every three months for both appliances. Washing machines and dishwashers in heavy use accumulate mould, limescale and bacteria quickly, and both transfer the results onto your clothes and dishes. If you've never had either cleaned, the difference after the first visit is immediate. That's why our quarterly subscription is such good value: four washing machine cleans for £269 — £67.25 each — with the dishwasher available as a separate subscription for just £219/year, or book our Full Home subscription covering both machines for £399/year.
The dishwasher clean is available as a standalone service at £79. That said, most customers book both the washing machine and dishwasher together — at £149 for the visit, you save £19 versus booking separately, and both cleaning cycles run simultaneously so there is no extra time involved for you. If you only have a dishwasher to clean, we are happy to come for that alone.
For your first visit, yes — we'll introduce ourselves, take a look at the machines and talk you through what we find. After that, many of our regular customers let us in and get on with their day. We'll always message when we arrive and when we're done, and we'll send you the before and after photos so you can see exactly what was done.
Almost certainly. The smell usually comes last — long after the mould, bacteria and limescale have built up significantly. By the time a washing machine smells, the inside is typically in quite poor condition. The same applies to dishwashers — cloudy glasses and dishes that don't come out quite clean are often a blocked filter or spray arm, not a failing machine. Many customers tell us theirs seemed fine, then they see the before photos and are genuinely shocked. Both machines that look clean from the outside are often anything but.
Better than nothing — but a cleaning tablet alone doesn't touch the door seal folds, the filter, the detergent drawer recess or the drain area in a washing machine. In a dishwasher, a tablet won't clear blocked spray arm holes or a clogged filter — the two most common reasons a dishwasher stops cleaning properly. You need hands-on work with the right tools and professional products in the right places. That's what we do.
A washing machine clean takes up to 2.5 hours depending on the make and model — the cleaning cycle itself takes the most time. A dishwasher clean takes up to 2 hours. When booked together, both cleaning cycles run at the same time, so the total visit isn't much longer than a washing machine clean on its own. We'll always give you a realistic time window when you book.
After every visit, we leave you a written service report card for each machine — detailing the condition we found it in, every phase of the clean completed, the products used, and your recommended next clean date. It's a genuine record of what was done, not a generic receipt. Nothing like it exists from any other service in the local area.
